Bootstrapping In America
Last month, our CEO and Founder, Kara, spoke with Kristi Ross and Tony Battista from Bootstrapping in America. Bootstrapping in America is a live video series where hosts interview entrepreneurs from the Chicago and surrounding areas.
This show gives interviewees the opportunity to explain a little more about themselves as well as their endeavor and how they got to where they are now. We were honored that Craveity was chosen to be featured as a part of this series and that Kara was able to tell her story.
How did she get to where she is today?
Throughout the interview, Kara discussed her background in IT, Marketing, and Advertising as well as her career path up until Craveity was started. The hosts were shocked when she said that she learned how to create websites when she was 11 years old.
She goes on to discuss her agency experience in both advertising as well as web design and why she decided to eventually start her own business. Many of the experiences from Kara’s past that are discussed in this interview are part of what shaped where Craveity is today.
Why the sustainable food industry?
The sustainable food industry is something that Kara is passionate about and has always been interested in. This is very apparent in Craveity’s current mission as well as the experiences that Kara had throughout her early career.
During the interview, Kara explains what sparked her interest in the food industry and why she enjoys working with clients that support the good food movement. If you’d like to hear more about Craveity and Kara’s story in the full interview, check it out here.
