$300This is a two-part workshop that is meant to give you all the information needed to create and update a WordPress website.
Day 1: Build Your Own WordPress Website – Buy Tickets ($215)

DAY 1: Build Your Own WordPress Website
You don’t know how to code, but you want a beautiful & professional website for your business. That’s where WordPress comes in. In this class, we’ll walk through the foundations of WordPress and the creation of your own WordPress website. Using templates and tools that require no coding skills, you’ll walk away with your own custom WordPress website for under $300.
Date & Time: Saturday, November 17 at 10:00am – 5:00pm

DAY 2: Hands-On WordPress Training
WordPress is an amazing website tool, but it’s often frustrating to learn. During this workshop, you will gain information, tools and resources to help you confidently make updates to your WordPress.org website. Learn to update content, edit pages, and add new site features on your own.
Date & Time: Sunday, November 18 at 11:30am – 4:00pm

This class is best for someone who has an existing WordPress.org website or who is simply looking to advance their skills / experience with WordPress. Students with their own website or who created a WordPress website with the Day 1 workshop will be able to customize their website during class.

Kara is a marketing and advertising professional with 8+ years of experience in branding, website creation and digital marketing for small businesses to large national brands. In 2015, Kara founded Craveity Marketing, a digital marketing agency that assists small businesses on their websites and social media. Prior to starting Craveity Marketing, Kara lead the creation of large WordPress websites at one of the nation’s leading WordPress development agencies. Kara is also an instructor at General Assembly Chicago, regularly teaching classes on websites and coding.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
The Brown and Purple lines ‘Chicago’ stop is a block away. Metered street parking and nearby garage parking is also available.
How do I access the building?
Upon arrival to the building, buzz ‘Breather 2’ to gain access. To unlock the elevator, enter the code “11720”in the keypad to the left of the elevator and take it to the 4th floor. Once on the floor, you will need to type in “11720” once more, in order to access the hallway. The door for room 2 is on the right hand side.
What should I bring into the event?
Bring your laptop and charger as this is a hands-on workshop.
What’s the refund policy?
Tickets are non-refundable. However, if you are no longer able to attend but want to transfer your ticket, please contact the organizer at contact@craveitymarketing.com. Supply us with the name of the purchaser and the name of the planned attendee and we will make the change.
Will food be provided?
Food is not provided, but a one-hour lunch break is included in this workshop. Feel free to bring your own lunch and snack or otherwise visit one of the many restaurants in the area.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, we will have your name on file for check-in.
